More than a billion dollars is spent each year on training intended to help grow the individual and stimulate better team and organizational performance. In reality, the spending organization rarely evaluates the effectiveness of this training.
The Lausanne Team believes that training without evaluations is too costly to justify and can also have negative consequences. Further, estimates of skills taught in training programs that carry over to day-to-day job practice are as low as 10%!
The Lausanne team of professionals uses various forms of measurement designed to meet the expectations of your organization. The following are but a few of the measurements we may use during a training session:
Pre and Post Testing
- An assessment of future training needs for the participants
- 3 months "follow up" of what was brought back to the work place
- Barriers to practice "what was learned during training”
- Relationship of the training content to the "work place"
We do not offer a "Laundry List" of packaged programs, because packaged programs don't work. At best, they provide a temporary "Training High" while the real needs of the organization and the individuals remain unmet. Successful organizations now view this “temporary” return as too costly and too uncertain to justify investment of critical resources.
